We are prepping away for Saturday, mixing up our sourdough, prepping our cookie dough to sit and hydrate the flour properly before baking, and getting our filling and frosting ready for our cinnamon rolls that are baked and packaged right before we leave for Saturday's market!

🥇And yes the award winning cookie will make an appearance also!

A day in the life of a small bakery owner… except this one came with a little plot twist. 🥹🍪💙

Started the day as usual—baking, boxing cookies, probably thinking about the next 47 things on my to-do list…

…and somehow ended it finding out our Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake Cookie won FIRST PLACE in the Sellersburg Celebrates baking contest. 😭🏆

I’m still a little shocked.

There’s something so surreal about creating a recipe in your own kitchen, wondering if anyone else will love it as much as you do, and then watching that little idea earn a blue ribbon.

So naturally, we celebrated the only way we know how… by getting right back to baking. 😂

The award-winning Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake Cookie will be coming with us to market, along with plenty of its cheesecake-cookie friends. 🤎

Turns out following the random little bakery dream was a pretty good idea after all. ✨

Our plans for today may have changed, but the dough was already made… and around here, we don’t let perfectly good cinnamon roll dough miss its chance to become something magical. 🤎

So that means SURPRISE CINNAMON ROLL DROP! 🍂✨

I have a limited number of freshly baked cinnamon rolls available today — made from the dough we had prepared for our event.
