Seldovia Craft Invitational Chainsaw Carving Competition

For the time being, there is no competition scheduled in Seldovia. Though the crowds are always fantastic, and the carvers are amazing, we have lacked the volunteer support necessary to make this incredible event happen each year. If you are living in Seldovia, and want to be a part of this event, in a volunteer capacity - we would love to hear from you.

Hello all! We’re sorry to report that there will not be a competition this year in 2021.

We love this event but with the complication and unknown factors including limited travel and financial uncertainty due to Covid as well as lacking the volunteer support staff to run it this year... we couldn’t take it on.

Hopefully, with its absence - hearts will grow fonder and folks who love this fantastic event locally can step up to help make it happen! If you’re interested in being a part of the Carving Committee, please PM me!

We LOVE hosting the many AMAZING carvers in Seldovia, and our community is more beautiful because of their masterpieces that line our streets!

If you have been to our event and on a visit to Seldovia, you have photos with our carvings, we’d love to see them!

Let’s make 2021 a year to have a virtual showing of Seldovia’s chainsaw art! Please post photos/memories - it’s be fun to see them! And please tell us where you’re from!
