There will be a meal at East Sedalia Baptist Church after the graveside services for Dad Thursday. All of you McMullins are invited. If you know you are going to eat with us, drop us a note as a comment on this post. If you don't decide until later and can't notify us, that's okay too. Just come on!

Dad’s visitation will be Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Heckart Funeral Home. His funeral will be Thursday morning at 10:00 AM at Heckart.

It's hard to say but Dad passed away today around noon. He was not conscious and not in pain as far as we could tell. We are working on funeral plans and should know something by tomorrow (Monday) afternoon.

Just a note to let you know that Dad (Don)is at home. Also, does anyone have a photo of Dad as a young boy with Grandpa? If you do, would you scan or copy it and post it to this page? Dad has talked about it several times. Thanks.

I am sad to tell all of you that Dad’s not doing well. We have called hospice and he is currently at the ER to get his breathing under control. We know you’ll be praying. Please lift up all of us. If you want to visit please call the house first. Love you all!

I used a photo colorizing site to add color to some black-and-white photos. They are for Mom and Dad's anniversary and Dad's birthday, and I thought I would share some with you. The site is https://palette.fm/. I'm sure Donny could do a better job than this site, but I thought they came out pretty well considering. Merry Christmas, Cousins!

In one of the pictures I posted, I mentioned the story of John and Don launching Claude into a field. Andrea asked about the story, so here it is as I know it. Feel free to add or correct me if you know anything about it.

John and Don loved to fix up old cars--of course. They even cut the roof off one old car that they got running.

They loved to take the car down to the field near Muddy Creek and cut donuts in the dirt. Claude begged to be included in his big brothers' fun. Finally, John and Don gave in and loaded him in the back.

They cut several excellent donuts before launching Claude out of the car. Claude wasn't injured, but John and Don were scared of what Grandma would do if she learned they could have hurt her baby. They begged and bribed Claude to keep their adventure a secret.

As far as I know, Claude didn't tell Grandma about his flight into the field.
