When I do sleep, I dream about saving every animal.
The ones dumped, forgotten, passed over.
The ones I do save fill my heart.
The ones I can’t—they stay with me.

This isn’t a side hustle. It’s our life.
My husband and I both work. We have kids. We have bills.
And still, we fund 95% of this sanctuary ourselves.
Feed, hay, vet care, spay/neuter surgeries—it never stops.
Donations help, but they’re rare.
Yet the calls keep coming. The need never slows down.

Anyone who knows us knows—we’re far from rich.
We don’t live in a nice house.
We don’t drive fancy cars.
We actually only have one vehicle for our whole household.
We have a home that desperately needs work, but that money goes to animals, pens, and their care.
And I’m not complaining. I’m not looking for pity.
This is the life we chose—and we show up for it every single day.

We make sure every animal has what they need—no matter what.
They eat before we upgrade. They get vet care before we fix the roof.
Because when we commit to a life, we commit fully.

People assume we’ll always say yes.
That we’ll always find a way.
And most days, we do.
Not because we have extra—but because we make it work.

But we have bad days too.
Days when the calls outnumber the space.
When the vet bills pile up and the feed runs low.
When we lose one we tried so hard to save.
We carry those losses. They don’t fade.
Because every “no” weighs heavy—and every life matters.

We’re not asking for praise.
We’re asking for partnership.

I think I'm annoying her with love. Been grooming her for hours, brought her inside to soak up some a/c, she said ughhh no thanks let's go back outside 😆. So I'm giving her a break from me with some nom noms under a tree. God, I'm gonna miss her...💔😪
