Good morning, all!

I'm back this week with the "Still On Vacation" edition of "RSU: Ray's Sirens Update"!

As a famous red-headed girl once sang..."TOMORROW!!!"
The significance of which cannot be denied, since
SIRENS FEST STARTS TOMORROW!

The roller coaster is about to begin! And the excitement will be non-stop throughout the weekend!

Yours truly will be there, back MC'ing the live performances on Saturday and Sunday, and I CANNOT WAIT!

Let's go over what to expect...

Tomorrow, we have workshops with such luminaries as:
Elizabeth Strong, Andalee Nicole, Jodi Waseca, Amina Goodyear, Shannon Burla, Zoe Jakes and Jill Parker!

After the workshops, we will be hosting the "Bellydancer of the Universe" Regional Competition! May the best dancer win!
Then, Bryce Williams, DJ Chango B himself, will be cranking the beats for the after-party!!

And that's just DAY ONE...

Saturday, we will be having live performances:

First, you have live musicians creating such a festive atmosphere,
with Susu Pampanin and Raman Osman conducting workshops of their own, along with playing together! In addition, we will have Al 'Azifoon, The Flairs, and Flowers on the Nile!

Later that night, there will be the Dan Cantrell band, along with the Mizmar Band! And when the Mizmar Band plays, there of course, needs to be dancers to accompany them. And there indeed will be!

Nicole Fortuna, Zoe Jakes, Phillip Ruise and Malia DeFelice are slated to bring their stunning dance skills to enchant and entertain!

And of course, you can't forget all the superb bellydancers gracing the outdoor stage, throughout the day, which yours truly will have the honor of introducing!

And then, there will be the After Dark show, featuring Infinite Spin, Alchemy Fusion Dance Collective, Forbidden Magician and Jodi Waseca!

And the momentum continues to Sunday!

First, there are the live musicans, such as Flowers on the Nile, The Flairs, along with Coralie Russo and Vince Delgado!! A great line-up!

Then, there will be even more stunning bellydancers gracing the outdoor stage, and again, I will have the honor and pleasure to introduce them all...and perhaps I might even have a surprise in store, for y'all...

And to end the festival, we have the honor of welcoming back the Georges Lammam Ensemble. 🙂

And don't forget, look at the spectacular work done by Amanda Lynn on our new backdrop:

After all that, I'm down to this definite statement:

I will see you all at Sirens Fest!

And as always, thank you to you, our community, for without you, Sirens wouldn't be what it is today!

Good morning, everybody!

So, here I am with this VACATION EDITION of "RSU: Ray's Sirens Update"! (Yep, that's right, I'm on vacation, which I'll elaborate in another post elsewhere...)

Wow...where did the time go? I can't believe that Sirens Fest is starting ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!!! Holy Mackerel...

And none too soon, seeing how as I mentioned last week, the new backdrop is done:
https://www.facebook.com/sirensfest/videos/765946665855452

Quite simply, Amanda Lynn, the artist, did an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING JOB! I'm so happy that so many will be able to see firsthand her remarkable work.

And speaking of remarkable, I know I have mentioned so much before about everything going on at Sirens Fest...

The Bellydance Competition...the workshops...the live dance performances...the vendors...the live musicians...Georges Lammam...so much going on...

It's almost overwhelming...and I'm going to be right in the middle of it, hosting the live dance performances.

In the end, I would say...just go.

Go to the festival...IT WILL BE SO WORTH IT.

For all the latest on Sirens Fest, always go to: https://www.sirensbellydancefest.com/

And even with Sirens Fest around the corner, there are still awesome classes to check out, such as TerriAnne Gutierrez's classic Wednesday night bellydance class...one of the key foundations that has led to the genius of Sirens Fest...Check it out!

in addition, currently, on Mondays, the lovely Lady in Blue, Radha Romero, one of the members of Joweh, a resident troupe under TerriAnne's direction...is continuing to teach her "The Foundation Effect" classes, which looks at the basics in bellydance that leads to the fancier techniques later...check this class out, too!

Sonoma County artist, VICTORIO SHAW designed our Sirens Fest T-shirts this year!
(Pre orders start soon)
Victorio Shaw (Karuk/Hupa/Yurok/Apache Mescalero) grew up in an artistic household in Humboldt County, California. The son of Lyn Risling, Victorio began drawing and painting at young age often depicting scenes from his favorite movie, Star Wars and cartoons like peanuts and Garfield. Drawing soon became his escape and his fortress of solitude, the most reliable and comforting part of his life.
