Seattle Center continues to support staff, partners, and community members affected by the July 26 incident on our campus. Over the past few weeks, we have seen tremendous compassion and resilience from our employees, resident organizations, event partners, first responders, vendors, and the Seattle community.

The investigation remains open, and we continue to work closely with SPD and our public safety partners as their work moves forward.

We have already begun implementing changes. Last week, Seattle Center met with the producers of Bumbershoot to review emergency protocols and incorporate new security measures into this year’s festival. In addition, the Seattle Center Foundation has stepped in to provide local vendor support and financial assistance to help those affected as recovery continues. Additional conversations with future event partners are planned in the weeks ahead.

Seattle Center remains committed to learning from this moment, improving campus‑wide safety protocols, and preserving what has always made this place special: an open, welcoming, community‑centered space for all.

We appreciate the collaboration and care shown across our campus and will continue to share updates as this work moves forward.
