Some wedding days feel like a celebration,
and some feel like a story being written in real time.

A&W’s day was one of those stories.

It began with a journey, one that started long before the wedding day itself. A’s family traveled halfway across the world from Myanmar, bringing with them not just tradition, but a deep sense of love, history, and belonging. And somehow, despite different languages and different worlds, it all felt effortless… like two families who were always meant to find each other.

The morning of, A&W dressed in traditional Burmese attire, honoring heritage during their first look and portraits. There was something sacred about it… a quiet pause before the day carried them forward.

And then, a transition.
Into western wedding attire.
Into a new chapter.

Set among the lush greenery of JM Cellars in Woodinville, Washington, their ceremony felt intimate in the most profound way. W’s grandfather stood beside them, officiating. Words a layered with legacy and love.

By the time speeches began, there wasn’t a dry eye left. Both fathers spoke with a kind of love that only comes from watching your child grow into this moment.

And as the sun faded, the night softened into laughter, music, and a dance floor full of joy—one of those evenings you wish you could bottle up and relive forever.

A day rooted in culture, carried by family, and overflowing with love.
The kind of day you don’t just witness… you feel.

There are some love stories that feel timeless.
The kind that feel as though they belong in a novel.

Wind moving through the trees.
Mount Hood watching quietly in the distance.
Two people standing on the edge of forever.

If Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy had wandered through the Pacific Northwest instead of the English countryside, I imagine it might have looked something like this.

A love that begins slowly.
With curiosity.
With tension.
With the quiet realization that the person standing in front of you may just be the one who understands you most.

“You have bewitched me, body and soul.”

Not every love story is loud.
Some unfold in quiet glances, wind-tangled hair, and the feeling that the world has momentarily slowed down.

And somewhere between the mountain air and the soft Oregon light, it felt as though time stood still — just long enough for this story to be written.

THE MOST EXCITING NEWS!!

I’m so humbled and incredibly honored to say that one of my images was selected for top 50 for Best of the best Weddings photos for 2025.

This is our 3rd time being selected for a Junebug best of (best of engagement 2023, Junebug choice awards - fashion category 2023, and now our FIRST best of weddings for 2025). To be selected from thousands of images taken from incredible photographers around the world is surreal and an honor I take with so much gratitude.

Photography has given me so much joy and purpose in life to be able to capture and share these love stories. Created so many beautiful friendships, memories, and taken me to places I could only dream of. I am forever grateful to all who have given us their heart and trust to capture their memories and create art in the process.

The image selected was taken in South Australia last winter. We drove hours into Southern Australia for what was a landscape wonderland filled with so much beauty! From a pink salt lake, white rolling sand dunes, and sea cliffs filled with more shells than I’ve seen in my life. It was truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve been to and would go back in a heart beat!
