Introducing our four-part hands-on skills series intended to bring us closer to a slower life by looking back to the past and reconnecting you to heritage skills you will have for life….

Forgotten Skills: Land will be hosted on the beautiful Vashon Island March 15th. We will explore butter & cheese making, bread baking, knife sharpening & skills as well as fire building and cookery. We hope you all had a great holiday! We are looking forward to ringing in the new year and all the adventures we have in store for 2026! First up, Snowshoeing Hurricane Ridge March 6-8.

Join us in Sequim, WA, on the Olympic Peninsula for a weekend full of cozy lodging, warm fires, epic snowshoeing, delicious meals, new friends and a bubbling hot tub. We have rented out a private log cabin sitting on 2.5 wooded acres with panoramic mountain views for a comfortable two-night stay.

Hurricane Ridge is the premier snowshoeing destination in Olympic National Park. Our guides are excited to provide beginner-friendly snowshoeing tours and have taken the steps to make this a seamless experience for us! They will provide snowshoes, trekking poles, park entrance, and roundtrip transportation in a four-wheel-drive shuttle bus. Most importantly, the guided tour will be led by two of their experienced Naturalist Hiking Guides, overviewing the fundamentals of snowshoeing, winter hiking, and avalanche awareness.

We will snowshoe for around 3-6 miles for 4-5 hours on Saturday March 7th, retiring to a warm lodge and a chef-cooked meal around the fire.

But that is not all!

After check out of our lodging on Sunday, you will have the option to join us as we weave along the Hood Canal for a potential fast clamming session in Quilcene at low tide, or oyster harvesting in Brinnon. The drive’s real destination is a visit to Hama Hama Oysters around 2pm. Hama Hama is a 6th generation family-run oyster and tree farm with a reputation for quality built on hard work and clean water. We’ll bundle up and enjoy oysters, warm chowder, and cold beverages.

The Tiderun’s Seasonal Tides Wine Club

A coastal-inspired natural wine membership for those who eat with the seasons and cook with the elements. Every bottle is selected for its affinity with seafood, shoreline gatherings, and meals cooked over fire. Our shipments follow the rhythm of Washington’s tides—oyster months, spot prawn & halibut season, Dungeness crab catches, salmon runs, clam digs and the heat of summer days by the water. Our wines are low intervention from organic and/or biodynamic vineyards all over the world. Wines that represent a place and time….nothing added, nothing taken away.

Choose from a 3 or 6 bottle club delivered to your door every month. Expect an assortment of different styles… bubbles, white, skin contact, pink and red. Included with your shipment will be descriptions and stories of the wines as well as seasonal recipes for pairings. As a member you will also receive early bird access and discounts to our wine dinners and events.

Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes yesterday for our launch! First up we’d like to introduce you to The Tiderun Table, our family style gatherings around the table, and NEXT WEEK we are excited to bring you an incredible evening of two of our favorite things, champagne & caviar. Join us in the beautiful rooftop greenhouse overlooking the entire city to sip on the most delicious bubbles from some of the best boutique, family-run Champagne houses in France. All paired with the best caviar the world has to offer.

Our own was the culinary director for since it’s inception in 2007 and is currently an ambassador. CCC are sturgeon farmers and purveyor of sustainable caviar from around the world and we will be pairing caviar bites with select cuvées for an unforgettable tasting experience.

Ticket price includes generous portions of 5 different caviars & champagne pours plus accoutrement, snacks & gratuity.

After five beautiful years, today is the last day of using this perfectly crafted logo created by . Tomorrow morning I will switch this account to reflect our new name and brand, The Tiderun, created in partnership with . It will always sit upon the shoulders of my firstborn Windward Adventures. At its core, nothing has really changed — it’s still us, still Washington, still fire, still the food and PNW landscapes we love — just with a wider range of events and experiences, in more places, more often. I’ll still find a way to sneak this logo into our new merch line….and created the new brand package too, so he’s still weaved into the fabric of our identity. Yet, growth is still change, and Windward taught me for years in many ways. I can’t wait to grow my affection for The Tiderun. I can’t wait to grow yours too. Launching tomorrow! 🚀
