I wanted to share something a little different today—something for all of us chasing big dreams through small businesses, even when there are no days off.
This business means everything to me. When a client shares their vision with me, it becomes my vision too. Their dream day becomes mine to protect, plan, and bring to life. Recently, while working on a wedding, that truth hit me in a whole new way. I had taken on the florals, the setup, the decor, the cleanup—pouring myself into every detail. At the same time, I’d been feeling under the weather for a couple of weeks. I brushed it off as a cold, only to find out four days before the wedding that I had full-blown pneumonia.
For a moment, I thought about quitting. Just for a second. But I couldn’t—not when there were dreams on the line, and not when this business is my heart, my legacy, and my mark on this little corner of the world. Years from now, I hope this becomes part of a bigger story—one of generational blessings born from grit, love, and relentless purpose.
A client once asked me, “What happens if you get deathly ill on the day of a wedding?” I laughed and said, “I’d still show up.” Well… it happened. And I still showed up—with a laugh, of course.
To every fellow business owner giving it your all: you’re doing it. You’re showing up, even when it’s hard. And you’re absolutely crushing it. One day, you’ll look back and know it was all worth it.
And to my amazing Leroy Mark family—thank you. I truly couldn’t do this without you.
With love,
Jazmin
