When the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) asked Tarriona "Tank" Ball of Tank and the Bangas what independent venues mean to live music, she spoke from the heart:

“These independent venues are so important because, without them, you wouldn't have your Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Taylor Swift. We all had to start somewhere and these places are integral to the building of an actual artist. Before you rock the stadium, you have to rock your local clubs first. It’s a right of passage.”

Invite a friend? Want to get more involved and help support local venues like Fremont Abbey Arts Center, Ballard Homestead, Woodlawn Hall, and shows at our partners St Mark's Cathedral, South Park Hall, Washington Hall, White Lotus Farm, and more... ? www.fremontabbey.org/volunteer
