The best teams are built on trust, shared purpose, and a commitment to lifting each other up.

For Sara Mosiman, sports have been more than a game. From playing basketball at the University of Washington to creating opportunities for the next generation of female athletes, her journey is a reminder that the lessons learned through sports extend far beyond the court.

As a Partner at Global Sports & Events and a leader at She Plays, Sara continues to champion women's sports, athlete empowerment, and the Seattle sports community.

Thank you, Sara, for sharing your story and reminding us that success is rarely an individual achievement.

Girls who play become women who lead.

Leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about learning, growing, and empowering others along the way.

At our 14th Annual Women in Leadership Breakfast, Jen LeMaster, President & CEO of the Seattle Convention Center, shared powerful perspectives on mentorship, sponsorship, communication, and the lessons that shape us as leaders.

From the importance of advocating for others to building a culture people can truly experience, her insights remind us that leadership is about more than a title. It's about the impact we make on those around us.

💚 Swipe through for a few takeaways from Jen's conversation as we continue celebrating Women in Sports Month and the women who lead, inspire, and create opportunities for the next generation.

What a morning! 💚

Today, we brought together an incredible community of leaders, changemakers, and advocates for the 14th Annual Women in Leadership Breakfast, presented by &t

From inspiring conversations and powerful stories to meaningful connections, this year’s theme, Upping Your Game: Leadership Boosts for Mind, Body, and Soul, came to life in so many ways. Whether it was the programming, the Kaiser Permanente Marketplace featuring local women-owned businesses, professional headshots, or our interactive experiences, we hope everyone walked away feeling inspired, empowered, and ready to take their leadership to the next level.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful lineup of speakers, panelists, moderators, and honorees who shared their experiences, perspectives, and wisdom with us. To our incredible host, The Westin Seattle and all our sponsors, partners, vendors, and volunteers, thank you for helping bring this unforgettable morning to life. Your generosity, collaboration, and commitment to advancing women in leadership make events like this possible.

We were also proud to introduce Girls Lead, a new initiative championed by the Seattle Sports Commission Foundation that brings together our sports community to create more opportunities for girls to play, thrive, and lead. With a shared vision of helping the Class of 2033 graduate as the healthiest generation of girls in Washington State history, we’re taking an important step toward building a stronger future through the power of sports.

Girls who play, become women who lead.

The conversation doesn’t end here. We invite you to join the movement, take the Girls Lead Pledge, and help us create lasting opportunities for the next generation.
