Happy New Year! 🎊 We hope everyone's new year is off to a safe and healthy start! It still feels a little like Christmas around here when we get videos from some of the weddings we did this past summer! Affected by the summer's wildfires, Caitie + Sean were forced to find a new venue for their wedding at the last minute and found refuge with The Riverhouse in Index, WA! What a gorgeous backdrop for this rock climbing powerhouse couple! They handled this last minute shift so graciously, we were so glad to see it all pull together for them! Congrats, C+S!

One of our wedding planner friends, Pink Blossom Events, wrote this great blog post giving engaged couples a behind-the-scenes look at what is going on the wedding & event industry right now. I highly recommend giving it a read if you are planning a wedding in 2021/2021, and as always thank you for giving your vendors grace & patience as we navigate all these challenges alongside you :)

Spring 2021, the floodgates have opened.

The wedding and social event industry in the Greater Seattle area has gone from a small trickling of celebrations in 2020 (thanks, but not thanks COVID-19) to a million miles an hour. Events are happening and inquiries are coming in stronger and faster than pre-pandemic levels as people are eager to celebrate both this year and in the year ahead in 2022!

While our industry is thrilled for weddings and events to return as we’ve been waiting to get to this point since March 2020, the post Pandemic event world has changed and the wedding and events industry is doing it’s best to come back to life as smoothly as possible.

While most people outside of the wedding and event industry see the front of the house I thought it might be helpful to give you a glimpse of behind the scenes and what is currently happening.

This is great news for venues, private home weddings, and restaurants with private dining spaces. This means weddings and receptions are back!
