Leif Erikson Hall Leif Erikson Hall was built as the home to Leif Erikson Lodge 2-001, Sons of Norway. The building is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026.

Dedicated on November 1, 1986. Thousands of hours of work by volunteers built the three story building. Leif Erikson Hall is the home of Sons of Norway Leif Erikson Lodge 2-001 in Seattle. The space also serves as an event hall for rentals such as weddings, birthday parties, celebrations, fund raisers, annual meetings, practice space for dance groups and choruses, other meetings.

The Nordic Market is less than a week away! Come by and experience the magic of Norway from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday. We will have many vendors, norwegian food, a silent auction, raffle, selling Norwegian books, and more!

Our biggest event of the year is almost here, and it's our 120th!

Join Leif Erikson Lodge on October 24 and 25 at historic Leif Erikson Hall for the 120th annual Nordic Market, a Ballard tradition since 1906. Free admission and open to all!

Eat: savory smørbrød sandwiches, delicate krumkake, and hearty rømmegrøt porridge, with good strong coffee all day.

Shop: rosemaling, Nordic clothing, handmade candles, jewelry, aquavit, unique Christmas decorations, embroidered dish towels, and more from our vendors. Vendors that will be there.

Play and win: Tombola prizes, gently loved treasures at Ditt og Datt, the Book Nook, a silent auction of antiques and vacation packages, and goodies and cash baskets at the Center Table.

The big raffle: Our Nordic Market Ticket Raffle drawing happens around 3:30 PM Sunday, with prizes including $1,000 cash, a Seattle Symphony night out for two with a Hotel Ändra stay ($600 value), a $200 Scandinavian Specialties gift certificate, and a $100 Skål B**r Hall gift certificate. Raffle tickets are $20 each (see FAQ).

Getting to see all our members again after our Summer break, giving our condolences and honoring the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway, listening to Elise Snoey play Hardanger with her band, and getting to hear back from the young campers our Education Foundation scholarships sent to camp. Thank you to all the volunteers who help make things run so smoothly!
