Finding a Venue
When finding a venue, there’s a lot that goes into deciding which one is the right one. I always tell brides before you go out looking to come up with a list of what you want your wedding to look like. (Pinterest is your best friend and mine!)
Here’s a few things to take into consideration when trying to cut costs for your venue:
1. Your venue will be almost always the biggest cost out of your budget.
2. Get married on a week day. It could save you anywhere from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars.
3. Or get married on “off-peak season”: October - April
4. High peak seasons are going to be May- September which are the most popular and have higher costs, since weather is best during these times.
There are many other options as well, when it comes to wanting a low budget venue and searching.
-State parks: They are great for nature lovers and outdoorsy themes. Keep in mind if you do choose this method, you will find yourself doing a lot of work to design your special day.
-Community centers/senior centers: They are usually a lesser fee and sometimes provide tables/chairs as part of their packages.
Smaller venues will also not have a lot of what you are looking for, which, in turn, will create a lot of costs when it comes to decorating.
Luckily, you don’t have to do this by yourself. A good wedding planner will be there along the way to help guide you in creating the image and design you desire for your wedding day
