I fell in love with house music in Ibiza in 1998. Walked into Pacha, heard Erick Morillo play, and I was hooked.

In 2000, I went back with my best friends Joey and Avi. We traveled the world together seeking the best clubs.

Joey passed away 13 years ago. Every time I step on stage, I think about him. I know he’s there with me. I always play our favorite song, “You Don’t Know Me” by Armand Van Helden, for him.

Last summer I went back to Ibiza with some of the same friends from 98. Same clubs. 27 years later.

I was doing this long before I was building homes or running companies. It just took me a while to come back.

Opening for Tchami this Friday at Level One in Seattle.

Seven playlist iterations for one gig. Tempo matching, key matching, energy mapping, version after version until the order feels right. Then hours on real equipment before I ever step in front of a crowd.

I was a DJ before I was anything else.

Packed dance floors. Late nights. Living for the music.

Then life happened. Business. Family. All of it.

Four years ago I opened for Fatboy Slim at Miami Music Week and thought maybe that was my last chapter on stage.

Then last month LevelOne in Seattle changed my mind.

This Friday I’m back. 9:45 - 10:30 PM. Early set. Opening for DJ DOD.

But we’re playing it like headline hour.

Come dance, drink and have fun.
