Here’s the three more numbers from 2006’s Masters Exhibition.

The whole event came about after we hosted Frankie & Chazz for workshops in 2005. Afterwards, Alex Yan suggested we do it again but go bigger. And so we did! Be sure to thank Alex the next time you see him!

It was twenty years ago today…

Today is the 20th Anniversary of the first Century Ballroom’s Masters of Lindy Hop & Tap, which ran from August 16-20, 2006.

Today we’re sharing the opening numbers from that year’s Masters Exhibition, which happened on 8/19/06.

First up: two numbers from The Nicholas Sisters, granddaughters of the legendary Nicholas Brothers, followed by a song from Frank Clavin (husband of Jeni LeGon).

Sunday will mark the 20th Anniversary of the first Century Ballroom’s Masters of Lindy Hop & Tap, which ran from August 16-20, 2006.

Twenty years ago!!

Over five days, starting Sunday, 8/16/26, we’ll be posting performances from the first Masters Exhibition.

But we can’t wait to start celebrating! We’ve dusted off the old website, CenturyMasters.com (link is in our linktree) which you can explore now.

And if you go to our Masters playlist on YouTube (again, see our linktree), we’re posted ten radio interviews with various Masters on KUOW, KBCS and KOMO. These haven’t been available online in years and we’re thrilled to be able to share them again!
