Let’s talk toasts🥂

Toasts & speeches can be one of the most memorable (and emotional!) parts of your wedding day… or one of the longest 😅 Here’s how to keep them meaningful, seamless, and actually enjoyable for everyone:

✨ Stick to 2–4 speeches total
This keeps things intentional and engaging. Too many speakers can drag out your timeline and lose your guests’ attention, remember, you want people leaning in, not checking their watches.

⏱️ Cap each speech at 3 minutes
Short and sweet is the goal! The best toasts are heartfelt, focused, and leave people wanting more, not less. This also helps keep your reception flowing smoothly so you can get to dancing, mingling, and celebrating.

🚫 No open mic. Ever.
Trust me on this one. While it sounds fun in theory, it often leads to off-topic stories, awkward moments, and timelines going completely off track. Protect your energy (and your guests!) by keeping speakers pre-selected.

🎤 Use the mic properly
Friendly PSA: put your lips close to the microphone! If guests can’t hear you, they’ll tune out fast, no matter how good your speech is.

💛 Couple, don’t forget your thank you
Take a moment to acknowledge your guests. A short, heartfelt thank you goes a long way and makes everyone feel appreciated for being part of your day.

At the end of the day, your speeches should enhance your celebration, not take it over. Save this for later & send it to your people who think they’re giving a 10-minute toast 😉
