Pleased to announce that Fox 12, Portland's KPTV, and Rose City Sportsnet, have signed on as sponsors for Seaside SandFest.
This will give us some promotion the week before the event.

Of course we'll carve their logos on the logo berm. But we are looking for some other fun things to do for them.
Thought about making a sand "Studio" for them. Featuring a news desk, with the logo etc.
And it's possible we could carve a bust of one of their newscasters in sand.
What else could we do for them that would be fun??

Hello SandFest Fans,
Its the time of Year when we apply for a Tourist Grant for SandFest. Yes, this event is a shameless attraction to bring tourists to Seaside in the fall.
As such, we apply for a Tourist Grant from the Tourist Advisory Committee.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Can you send an Email to Joshua Heinaman, at [email protected], a "Letter of Support" and tell the Committee why you like Seaside SandFest, and Lesson Beach, (Two separate Emails).
If you are a Tourist, Please mention that you rent a place (Hotel, Vacation house, Etc), and what you like about the event.

This is a competitive Grant, meaning that we are competing with other organizations that are trying to get a grant.

Seaside SandFest and the Ephemeral Art Works

Seaside SandFest is going into its 5th year now in Seaside Oregon. We are pleased with the way the event has grown. It delivers quality sand sculptures to all that enjoy the beauty and fun sand can bring us.
Our goal has always been to create a venue so that anyone that wants to play in sand can watch, learn, create and get inspired to make something in sand.

Tribes can be any group that has a common interest.We look at ourselves as a Tribe.
A Tribe wants a few things:
• Opportunities for the Tribe.
• To Learn how to do it better
• To Grow as a Tribe
• To show off what the Tribe does.

Sand is not the only one of the Ephemeral Arts that we’ve explored. Many of the carvers that come to Seaside SandFest have joined with us carved with us in Sand, Snow, Ice, Pumpkins, Garde Manger, etc. We’ve been hosting these events as fund raisers for various Non Profit Organsations for years. It seemed time to form an NPO to focus on the Art and Tribe that does this work.

The Ephemeral Art Works engages people in the ephemeral arts through Teaching, Demonstrations, Competitions and Events for the benefit of our communities. It just seemed natural to create an NPO that could help engage people in all of the Ephemeral Arts.

It’s a new day for Seaside SandFest, we can now operate as an NPO (501(c)3). Apply for grants. Accept tax-deductible donations. And expand our programming and volunteer base. Seaside SandFest is hoping that you will join us in making the 2026 Seaside SandFest the most amazing event.

Some sand painting for you.
We are still looking for folks that will collect shells, sand dollars, etc from the beach so we can use them at Seaside SandFest for Sand Painting.
It should be fun and beautiful.
