To the North is a great event. These folks get to exhibit these sculptures for 8 weeks!

One thing we always want to do, is give a path for folks to get better and sand sculpture. (Many of the folks that compete at Seaside SandFest are past students of mine).
As such, we have an Advanced Amatuer division. Last year we had 3 folks compete in the Advanced Amatuers, and we are looking for more.
If you know a talented sculptor that wants to challenge themselves to a higher lever, please have them contact us.
They get a pile of sand, a hose to their plot, 3 days to play and make something. A bed, and some meals. (And maybe more).

Also, we will be hosting a Novice Sand Sculpture contest on Sunday for all that want to enter.
This will be in the Lesson Beach area.
Solo and Family divisions.
So, if you've taken a lesson at Lesson Beach, now's your chance to show what you can do!

Hello All,
Doing the things to get ready for the event in Sept. One big thing is the application for a grant from the Seaside Tourism Committee. They ask every year, for "Letters of Support".

If you could send a Letter of Support to Joshua Heineman [email protected], and let him know why you'd like to see the Seaside SandFest again this year, that would really help.

They are especially interested in hotel stays. (Tell him where you stay if you visit).
