A loving rant to follow.

5 people in the white/blue belt division and 4 in the purple/brown/black.

I personally don’t know of another tournament that limits just white and blue belts together with up to a $500 payout. With purple, brown, and black belts you most likely have to travel to another state to have the chance to win $1,000 and have higher competition fees than what we charge and have to sign up for multiple divisions to qualify for the money.

With all of this being said this was our first tournament to offer cash prizes and will most likely be our last for a good while unless more people sign up.

We were hoping that offering cash prizes would draw interest and be a HUGE bonus for competing locally compared to just a medal or title belt. I don’t know if it is ego, fear, or lack of self belief, but it is unfortunate to have an oppurtunity like this and people from across the state not show up and go for it.

However we are looking forward to another great show and we couldn’t be more grateful for our sponsors, fans, and most importantly competitors that show up and make all of this possible! We will see y’all Saturday and if you know anyone interested in competing for cash send them our way! -Rudy McGlothlin
