I love being a part of weddings because there’s something incredibly special about witnessing a couple’s reaction when everything they’ve dreamed of comes to life. It’s such a special moment—especially seeing how stunning the bride looks in her dress and how excited everyone is to celebrate. Helping bring that vision to life and seeing the pure happiness on their faces is what makes this work so rewarding. Justin Belew serves as Dogwood Farms’ facilities manager and maintenance overseer, while also performing as a DJ and musician for weddings. Proudly married to Jenna, he is the only male team member. He assists with property tasks and leads tours for brides and grooms.

He cherishes building relationships with couples and their families, making each event memorable! This is his favorite part about weddings!

Hi 👋🏻 I’m Lindsay Ussery and I’m the Engineering Specialist at Downtown Magnet Academy!! I have been working with my sister, Jenna, since the very beginning 18 years ago! Fun fact, I’m the “Lou” J-Lou’s! I love being behind the scenes to make the day flawless!

One of my favorite parts of any wedding is the first dances—especially those between the bride and groom, the father of the bride, and the mother of the groom. There’s something incredibly moving about those quiet, intimate moments that follow the ceremony and speeches, when the music starts and emotions take center stage.
The bride and groom’s first dance is like a silent vow—full of unspoken promises, laughter through nervous smiles, and the deep realization that their new life is just beginning. It’s often the first moment they truly pause to be present with each other amid the whirlwind of the day. You can feel the love in the way they hold each other, in every sway and step, like they’re dancing through their dreams.

Hi 👋🏻 I’m Jenna Belew, the owner of Dogwood Farms and J-Lou’s Weddings! I have been in the wedding industry for over 18 years and have owned Dogwood for the past 4 years!

My favorite part of wedding planning are the relationships that form during the planning process and that makes the day so much sweeter! I feel connected to my clients and so thankful I get to spend one of their biggest life milestones with them! Hugging the bride right before she walks down the aisle and then celebrating with my couples as they exit as husband and wife!! Seeing that Joy and Happiness is worth the whole process!
