What a beautiful way to celebrate the end of another incredible summer at YCSIC! Last night’s annual End of Summer Butterfly Release brought members and guests together for a special evening of community, and tradition.

Watching hundreds of butterflies take flight over the club was a memorable reminder of the friendships and memories made throughout the season. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special thank you to our wonderful volunteers whose time, dedication, and hard work helped make all the magic happen.

Here’s to a fantastic summer and the traditions that make YCSIC so special. 🦋

🦋 One of our favorite annual traditions returns! Join us at YCSIC this Sunday, 8/30, for our End of Summer Butterfly Release. At 6:30 PM, members and guests will gather for a beautiful group butterfly release to celebrate the season.

Enjoy a buffet dinner in the Main Dining Room or dine in the Crow’s Nest before the event. One butterfly will be provided per membership, with additional butterflies shared with the children in attendance.

Our Commodore’s Ball was a night to remember! ✨🥂

From delicious food and dancing to live music by The Chatterband, it was the perfect evening spent with wonderful company and our incredible YCSIC family. One of our favorite traditions of the year, the Commodore’s Ball is also a special opportunity to celebrate our members and all the memories that make each season so unforgettable. 💙

A special thank you to our Commodore, Rich Fazio, for his wonderful speech and leadership throughout the season. We also celebrated the incoming leadership with the ceremonial passing of the flags to 2027 Commodore Kathy Maguire, Vice Commodore Michael Kernicky, and our Rear Commodore Nancy Bucher.

What a memorable evening on the water!

In July, guests gathered for the YCSIC Sunset Cruise, beginning with a cocktail reception at The Crow's Nest before setting sail aboard the Starfish for a beautiful cruise through the back bays. From delicious hors d'oeuvres and refreshing drinks to stunning sunset views and great company, the evening was one to remember.

A heartfelt thank you to our co-hosts Karyn Reade, Kathy Satkosky, and Pat Donat, and to everyone who joined us for this special summer event!✨

Last week's MAYRA Awards were a wonderful celebration of another successful sailing season and the young sailors who make it so special.

Congratulations to: Justin McCabe on winning the MAYRA Laser Ocean Championship Justin McCabe for finishing 2nd in the Laser Radial season standings Teddy Pulitzer & Michael Colino for earning 2nd Overall in the 420 Fleet🥈

We are incredibly proud of all of our sailors and grateful for the coaches, instructors, volunteers, and Sailing Committee members whose efforts behind the scenes create these opportunities year after year. Thank you to Frank Marciano, Andy Seybold, Mike Kernicky, Chris Martinson, and everyone who helped make this summer one to remember. ⚓️💙
