When Kaitlyn and Matt asked if they could have their engagement shoot at a Christmas tree farm, I immediately replied “which one!!?” Such a fun location for the photos. And we lucked out with some snow cover and a great sunset.
Towards the end of the shoot I joked: do you want to build a snowman?? Literally 30 seconds later they had one finished lol! Great way to end the shoot. Can’t wait for the wedding!

It’s our last day of vacation in Jamaica today. A super relaxing and away-from-work-week, which was much needed! As we were taking a quick walk down the beach, I noticed this couple about to take their own wedding day photos. I stopped dead in my tracks…
I immediately introduced myself and asked if they had already taken photos with a local pro or anyone else yet. They mentioned they had been approached to do so but it was out of their price range. I told them I own a photography studio in NY (I had my Wavelight shirt on lolz!) and I offered to take photos on my phone at no charge. They were super happy for the offer, and we had a quick photo shoot! Even on vacation I can’t walk away from a great couple!! Congrats Patrick and Tammy!!

I mean… c’mon! They’re perfect! A few weeks ago Rosemarie and Saud had one of the best winter weddings we’ve ever seen. It’s impossible to choose just one photo, so I’ll be posting more for sure. The Sea Cliff Manor has some of the oldest stairs on Long Island. And the window light combined with the floor length mirror can’t be beat! Stephanie and Avi’s family have a Siddur which every couple in their family signed on their wedding day. Dating back to 1939! It’s a prayer book, and the tradition is that the bride carries it with her down the aisle. Always a powerful experience to see family keepsakes like this at a wedding. And even better to see Stephanie and Avi sign their names on this day. Mazel Tov!

It was such a great fall season of portrait sessions and weddings. Other than what felt like 8 rainy weddings in a row early on, the last few weeks were a perfect whirlwind of chasing light and having fun. So many more shoots to share, but this photo of Cara and Pete really stays with me. Secret location of course, with that perfect autumn sunset above. Or what is below? 🤔
