Growing off the continued success of George Lucas' 1973 classic film "American Graffiti", the Pharoahs Car Club is going strong today! We are the Scranton, PA chapter of one of the most iconic car clubs in the United States and beyond! Founded in 1948 in Modesto, California, the Pharoahs have been a cornerstone of hot rod, Kustom, and muscle car culture for generations. Yes, we are the same club f
eatured in the movie “American Graffiti”! The Pharoahs were among the first car clubs in California, with Gene Winfield being one of our earliest members. Gene later gained fame for designing several vehicles for various Hollywood movies and is widely recognized as “the king of kustoms.” Today, the Pharoahs Car Club has grown into an international organization with over 40 chapters across the United States and in countries including Japan, Australia, Finland, the United Kingdom, Norway, Canada, and Mexico. We are a family-friendly car club that welcomes a diverse range of cars and trucks! The Pharoahs of Scranton embrace all makes and models of vehicles because we believe in uniting everyone through a shared love for cars, whether they are muscle cars or imports.
