I’m Desirae (but most people call me Des)! With 10 years of experience in the industry, I’m your girl if you’re looking for an stress-free planning process and a calming energy on your wedding day! Cocktail style receptions are becoming more and more popular and they’re some of my favorite weddings to plan! No, you don’t have to have a formal, sit-down dinner where every guest is assigned a seat, but we’ll figure out a time to incorporate your first dance and toasts so that everything flows smoothly. There is a way to go about the day so that it feels fun and relaxed, but there is still a structure in place so that your guests and vendors know what to expect and we don’t miss any special moments 🥂🤍✨

A question I’ve been seeing recently is “how does having a planner or coordinator make the day easier for my other vendors?” Let’s talk about it!

Basically, your wedding planner/coordinator is the glue that keeps it all together. Your planner will have the groomsmen on deck as the bridesmaids are wrapping up their photos, so your photographer doesn’t have to waste time running back and forth. Your planner will update your florist as your floor plan changes so they can adjust accordingly. Your planner will gather your wedding party for intros so your band or DJ can focus on transitioning from cocktail hour to reception.

And these are just a few examples! Overall, having a planner or coordinator allows your other vendors to focus on their tasks and also allows you to fully enjoy the day without having to answer questions or worry about what’s coming next. Everything will run as smoothly as possible, for EVERYONE involved 🤍✨
