Someone recently joked that houseplants have peaked—clearly not something to tell a plant mama! I just laughed and said, yeah, having living plants clean our air and brighten our space is so last year. 😆

A quick customer appreciation moment from behind the scenes at We Grow! 🌿

While keeping up with the shop and our hours keeps us on our toes, taking photos in here is my way of bottling up memories of a life I truly love. With so many small businesses closing lately, the fear is always there, which makes your support even more meaningful. I have to say a huge thank you to my amazing helpers who keep things running through the week, too!

Outside of We Grow, I’m a full-time art teacher at the exact same middle school I attended from 2000 to 2004. I loved Walton as a student, and I love working here now.

The main challenge I’m constantly working against is the opportunity gap we face here in southern Albemarle. Resources and funds don’t always stretch down this far, which means my brand-new photography class currently doesn’t have enough cameras for every student.

The goal is to get us fully stocked so every kid has access to a Rebel EOS T7. If you’re in a position to help, we would deeply appreciate your support in getting this program off the ground for our students!
