We spent the day building out a private home for a beautiful wedding tomorrow. It got us thinking about all the things people never realize we do and think about when planning a wedding and we realized there are two major reasons people hire a wedding planner. 1. They have no idea what they are doing OR 2. They know how much work it is to plan a wedding and they want a pro to manage the process. Three easy upgrades to your wedding ceremony:
1. Upgrade your chairs from the typically included white padded folding chairs to anything else and you get instant elevation of your design.
2. Work with your florist to make sure your ceremony florals can be repurposed into the reception space. This way you get the most bang for your buck and get to see your beautiful blooms for more hours during the day!
3. Place individual seat reservation signs with the specific guests name on your reserved seats. Not only does this help eliminate any confusion about where VIP guest are sitting, but it is an elevated touch that enhances the space.

Details! Detail! Details! Give us all the details!

From beautiful signage, custom drink stirrers, matchbooks, monogram serving towels, and Texas themed meal indicators, Lexi and AJ had it all. Adding small personal details like these make a huge impact to the overall wedding design!

What time should I have my ceremony? It’s a question we hear a lot. Here’s the magic formula:
Sunset time minus 90 minutes= ceremony time.
A couple of exceptions:
1. If you are not doing a first look, give yourself an extended cocktail hour so star your ceremony 2 hours before sunset time.
2. Take your venue location into account, if the sun sets behind a mountain and loses light earlier (I’m looking at you ) give your photographer a little extra time as well 15-30 minutes should do it.

Still not sure? Consult your wedding planner or photographer and they can give you a specific time based on the day and location of your wedding.
