It’s been a hot minute! I wanted to take a moment to re-introduce myself for my newer followers.
I’m Tessa, owner and lead planner at Tie the Knot by Tessa. I am coming up on almost 9 years of business, but I have worked in the wedding/event industry since 2011. Tie the Knot by Tessa was born out of my love for connecting with others and passion for logistics…yes, I’m actually passionate about making plans. Planning has always been a source of comfort for me. I’m clearly type A. 😉
I briefly took a step back from wedding planning in 2020, uncertain of what the future would hold. I worked a corporate job, ready to ditch the stresses that come with running and operating a business. I soon found out, that the grass isn’t always greener. I felt like my soul had left my body. I was operating on auto pilot, chasing after a paycheck and health benefits. Eventually, I left that job and started putting my focus back into wedding planning, regardless of the uncertainty.
Simply, I was made for this. I’m good at what I do, and planning events has been my creative outlet that I’m lucky enough to call a career. I have worked with over 100 couples, planning the most important events of their lives. I do not take this honor lightly. I have done events all over the US, as well as internationally. Thank the lord for google translate lol!
I look forward to continue producing gorgeous events for my clients, while offering them a peace of mind. In my free time, you can find me meandering the aisle of Home Goods and snuggling with my dog Hazel.
