Here's Lucky (the kids call him "Trouble" but he'll always be "Lucky" to me) lounging in the bedroom after giving me a good attacking (mostly my hand) in bed this morning to start my day. He got to nod off very shortly after this photo but I woke his butt up just before I left for work. Turnabout...etc...

It was awesome talking to Joe Nichols on the radio today. He's a great talent and his traditional sounding music is always a joy to listen to. I hope you get a chance to see him live at the Brown Co. Music Center in Nashville, IN Friday October 24th.

I told this story on the air the other day...my son Chad came to visit me at the station and said there was a kitten near my car. He went back out to make sure the kitten was okay but told me the kitten was gone. I didn't think anything more about it...figured as long as he didn't get run over he went back home...and I went home myself later (New Albany). Two days later, I heard a loud meowing from my sun room. I looked out to see a fur ball run outside. My son and daughter tracked him to my car and Chad confirmed it was the same kitty he saw in Scottsburg. He found a safe spot somewhere in my car and became a stowaway. The kids want to call him "Trouble" because it took forever to get him out of the car (even though he snuck out past them and hid in the garage...they didn't even know). I call him "Lucky" because he rode for at least a half hour at 70 MPH somewhere in my car and held on the whole time. He now LOVES Breanna and he lays with me and lets me pet him. he's getting a little TOO comfy around here. :)

I'm sad to learn that one of our favorites on "Over the Back Fence", Rudy Hamblin has passed away. It was always a pleasure taking his calls and hearing from him. He was a great and caring person and he loved the people of this community. We will miss his voice and will think of him often. Our condolences and prayers go to his family.

Earlier today, Jennifer at Stuckwisch Appliace and I were talking about it being chocolate pecan pie day. We both agreed we weren’t fan of pecans but the chocolate pie thing sounded really good. Just a little while ago a very nice young lady brought this pie to me at the station. She also brought one to Jennifer at Stuckwisch. Proof that radio advertising works. Thanks again for the wonderful pie. Lunch is covered.
