Common Thread Ceremonies

It was truly an honor to work with Morgan and Trey and write for them a ceremony that reflected on their ten years together (since freshman year of high school) while looking forward to a vast future. Their family was incredibly warm and welcoming and insisted I stay for the reception. I had a blast! Plus, I was able to do some much-needed catching up with two of my former students, Peyton and Austin, who happen to be two of Morgan and Trey’s coworkers/friends.

It was truly an HONOR to write and officiate Dane and Ryanne’s ceremony and to meet their awesome photographers, too!

After meeting this young couple and spending some time with them, I felt like I’d known them for years. It made writing their ceremony a true labor of love because I just had to include all of the parts of their story that makes them THEM.

I wish Dane and Ryanne nothing but the best - a sweeter pair of lovebirds you never did see!

I spent part of my evening visiting The Venue at Robinson Ranch Co. for the very first time, and I am truly stunned at how gorgeous this place is. In the midst of all the on-the-go business of life in Terrebonne Parish sits this peaceful oasis that will definitely help you to slow down a bit and enjoy every second of your wedding day.

I am super excited to perform my first wedding at this venue, and I hope it won’t be the last. Spring is here, and how sweet it is!!

This is the perfect time for me to reintroduce myself. My name is Justin, and I want to officiate your wedding. For over two years, I have worked with a wide variety of couples to write ceremonies that reflect the love they share while celebrating the milestone of marriage. It’s a BEAUTIFUL day for an outside wedding here in historic Downtown Thibodaux! What’s that you say? There are grey clouds in the sky? Oh well - it’s always a beautiful day for an outside wedding! Regardless of what happens, a couple will be married and a big old group of people will share in the happiness and promise of the day. Let’s get it!!

Did you know that I performed my first two ceremonies ONE YEAR AGO?! That’s right - my first two were on the same day! It’s a great story, and I can’t wait to share it with you when we meet to discuss your wedding plans. Those two couples are dear friends, and I send them the happiest of anniversary wishes.

When I posted a stock image of autumn on the bayou a few weeks ago, it didn’t occur to me that I would soon perform a ceremony in a location just as gorgeous.

It was an honor to help join together this couple in an intimate, family-focused wedding. Crisp, fall air and a cloudless sky - what a perfect day! To make it extra special, I’ve known the bride since elementary school! Don’t ask how many years it’s been.
