Today on the RefreshYoLife Conversations Podcast, we talked about something that can truly bring freedom and clarity to your relationships.

We discussed writing down your Circle of Friends. That means identifying who is your shopping friend, your praying friend, your late night 2:00 a.m. call friend, your celebration friend, and your support friend. Then, putting an actual name next to each role.

Why does this matter? Because too often we place unrealistic pressure on people to be everything for us. That kind of pressure is not healthy for you, and it is not healthy for them either.

Everyone is not called to serve every role in your life, and that is okay.

This exercise helps you create healthy boundaries, appreciate people for who they truly are, and stop expecting from others what they were never meant to give.

And remember this, the next time someone tries to make you something you know you are not, it is okay to lovingly say, “I’m not your person for this.”

Clarity brings peace. Boundaries bring freedom. And healthy relationships allow everyone to breathe.
