Plantella: A Bristol Expo returns to Bristol on Sunday, September 13, and this one is shaping up to be a BIG day.

The first round of General Admission for Plantella: A Bristol Expo is officially SOLD OUT!

Connecticut has always been incredibly good to Plantella, and we can already tell you are ready for our annual arrival. VIP is also sold out, but tickets are still available for General Admission Rounds 2 and 3.

Tickets will only be sold at the door if they do not sell out in advance. If you plan to join us, secure your spot now to guarantee entry on Expo Day!

As Plantella has grown, it has become clear that preselling all admission tickets, rather than only VIP, is the best way to prevent long waits and any disappointment of arriving without knowing whether entry will still be available. You can always check our ticket trackers to see where we stand.

So, what do the times mean?

🌿 VIP: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM 𝘚𝘖𝘓𝘋 𝘖𝘜𝘛
🌿 GA Round 1: 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 𝘚𝘖𝘓𝘋 𝘖𝘜𝘛
🌿 GA Round 2: 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM
🌿 GA Round 3: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM

These are your entry windows. You may come and go as often as you like during your window, and once you are inside, you are welcome to stay. You are not required to leave when your entry window ends. We do reserve the right to limit reentry outside your purchased window if necessary to maintain safe attendance levels.

VIP guests may begin checking in 60 minutes early. General Admission guests may begin checking in 30 minutes before their round so we can get you ready and through the doors as fast as possible!

Some plant shops chase only the rarest thing they can find. The Plant Kiosk knows there’s room for the showstopper and the plant that has quietly been thriving in your house for the last decade.

Located in Berlin, Connecticut, The Plant Kiosk is a brick-and-mortar boutique offering a mix of easy-care favorites and harder-to-find specialty plants. They also carry locally sourced, artisan-crafted wood planters, vases, and plant accessories, so the things your plants live in get just as much attention as the plants themselves.

WHAT MAKES THE PLANT KIOSK UNIQUE?

𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓: Turns Out Your Plants Need Jewelry, Too.

You’ve found the plants. You’ve found the perfect pots. Now we’re accessorizing them 🤷‍♀️

DAB Stained Glass LLC is joining us at Plantella: A Bristol Expo, Based in Lebanon, Connecticut, they're a home-based stained glass studio bringing a whole lot of color to Bristol. With an entire line of handmade garden and plant stakes, this is one of those booths where the artwork was quite literally made to live among your plants.

But plant stakes are only part of what DAB does. Behind the booth is a stained glass artist and teacher with more than 25 years of experience, specializing in custom work, repairs, and restoration. She’s also the originator of traveling and private-event solder-only stained glass workshops, bringing the experience directly to groups without requiring a traditional stained glass studio.

HOW DID IT ALL START?

More than 25 years ago, with a stained glass class in high school.

After being diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma while still in school, she was homeschooled while undergoing treatment, and glass became a creative outlet during that time. One class turned into more than two decades of creating, teaching, restoring, and developing work that very much reflects the individual behind it.

DOES THE STUDIO HAVE A MASCOT?

Absolutely. Insert Isabella, DAB's rescue pit bull and self-described “Mommy's baby.”

We have not been informed whether Isabella has any actual stained glass responsibilities, so we're assuming her position is upper management.

And according to DAB, if you visit her booth, you’ll definitely leave with a smile. We suspect there’s a decent chance you’ll leave with something sparkly for your Monstera, too. 💎🌸

If you like finding plants before everyone else has them, Vly Ridge Farm (IG: ) is giving you a very good reason to make a beeline for their booth at Plantella: A Bristol Expo

Based in New York’s Hudson Valley, Vly Ridge Farm is both an in-house tissue culture lab and an aroid grower, focused on making high-quality, unusual plants more accessible without collectors having to source them from halfway around the world.

And for Bristol, they’re coming with something special.

Now, just over a year later, they’re coming to Bristol as a vendor with their own tissue culture lab and six new releases in tow. We love a full-circle moment.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU STOP AT THEIR BOOTH?

According to Vly Ridge Farm, you’ll leave with “a new plant you didn’t know you needed, and probably a much longer wish list.”
