Ace Berry, a former oil field worker, has become a prominent voice is the florist community. Take a listen and consider getting the men in your life flowers sometime. Plants (and their flowers) are some of the toughest organisms on the planet. They sprout and spend their entire life in one place - they can't run away from any threat, so they either survive or die. The misconception that flowers are not masculine is ridiculous. Assuming they are feminine is not the insult some think it is given the amount of crap women put up their entire lives. As Ace mentioned, the first time most men get flowers is at their funerals. That's just sad. So ladies, do something different for your husband, fathers or male friends, and, you know what MEN, get some flowers for
your dad or your broskies. You can do it!

Three folks, including two from Switzerland, found us on the interweb and came in looking for a hostess gift for an Easter brunch. They wanted spring and full. Christa roses, Double tulips, Hyacinth, Freesia, Grand Soleil d'Or Narcissus, Amazing Kyiv Clematis and more pleased the guests and I certainly hope the host as well. Happy Easter!

Spring is here! An arrangement such as this would be a wonderful complement to an Easter dinner, a show of appreciation for Mother's Day or, today, it was a thoughtful closing gift for a local realtors client.

Yes, We are in the middle of Savannah prom season. So far, BC, Islands, Savannah Christian and St. Vincent's prom customers have found us and more are on the way. For boutannieres, I like to keep things relatively simple but interesting. Instead of evil and awkward pins, my clients have become fast fans of Quickclips which use magnets. While some are looking for wrist corsages, small hand-tied bouquets have been more popular this spring. To help keep both in good shape, they are spayed with an anti-dessicant which dries invisible and the bouquets are sent off with a small vase of water.

Macodes petola is one of several orchid genera, often called Jewel Orchids, that are notable for their foliage instead of their flowers. Native to southeast Asia, tropical jewel orchids actually have temperate relatives here in GA. They like humidity above 50% and should be watered before getting completely dry. They work well in terrariums but that is not a requirement. An east or west window with bright, indirect light makes them happy. I'll be adding more varieties but these are available now at $18.

We are so excited to share our first local vendors, ! All designs are custom. Two that I particularly love are the abstract flower from our logo and the Diamondback Terrapin, a turtle species native to the area. They are listed as a "species of concern" and at risk from crab traps and coastal road traffic. Available for $25.
