A Kid's Guide to Dogs!
Dogs are our best friends, but did you know they are also amazing thinkers? A dog’s intelligence is roughly equivalent to that of a 2 to 2.5 year old human child, with exceptional social and sensory skills that humans do not possess!
You Silly Dog and VSocial are hosting a special event to help children (ages 6–12) and their families see the world through a dog’s eyes. From understanding their complex needs to learning the subtle "body language" of tails, noses, eyes and ears; we’re helping the next generation of pet guardians be kinder, smarter and safer.
Natalie Keegan of Kids4K9s will be presenting along with Winnie, her certified therapy dog, who will show us how it’s done!
What’s included:
✅ The "Feelings" Talk: Understanding the emotional lives of dogs.
✅ The "Body Language" Talk: Explaining how dogs use body language to communicate how they are feeling.
✅ Safe Petting: How to greet dogs so they feel safe, not scared.
✅ Live Demo: Meet a real-life Therapy Dog!
✅ DIY Crafts: Get creative with some doggy-inspired art.
When: Sunday, May 17th 1:00-2:00pm (presentation), 2:00-3:00pm (interactive time with Winnie, and crafts)
