Thank you so much for working with us on our wedding menu and for every delicious dish, bite, and sip you prepared for our special day. We still regularly talk about the flavors you created (usually wishing aloud that we could eat eat and drink them all again right now!) no exaggeration. From our first meeting, we could sense the immense attention, care, imagination, and excellence you apply to your work, and everything we ate and drank on our wedding day proved that in spades. The most addictive lumpia we’ve had outside of Gabys grandmas house. The most mouth watering fusion of California and Filipino cuisines. As a small token of our gratitude we wanted to send you this gift. These mother of pearl utensils can be used practically or displayed as a miniature version of the giant wooden spoons and forks that often grace the walls of Filipino homes, underscoring the importance of food and gathering in our families. A punch is a great way to welcome your guests while you are busy in the kitchen. It requires very little while bringing a knock out center piece to your bar. I like to make mine with black tea!

Loose Recipe 🤣 I rarely measure when making punch

Steep black tea bags with cinnamon, star anise, and orange rind- let that cool
Mix 1 cup St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram with 4 cups Mount Gay Rum, 4 cups black tea, 1/2 cup ginger simple syrup, 1/4 cup lime juice, 3 Bunderberg ginger beers, sliced tangerines, sliced limes

Serve your ice on the side so the punch does not get watered down.

Spent a couple hours today at the Adult Day Program here in Petaluma where Elders come to get a few sweet moments to play, eat together, and enjoy some shared time. This is such an important program for all communities and I am so happy to be a part of this one ❤️. I have very fond memories of volunteering for our senior center growing up in Orange County. My mom was involved in so many charities and it was instilled in us at an early age to give back and bring joy to others and inside your own heart. Hoping to bring that to my family and friends too.

Invited to “fish camp” a Round table of fishermen, seaweed foragers, purveyors, and chefs to discuss and listen to heart felt stories of regeneration, breaking distructive cycles, perseverance, and honesty around the fishing industry and what ultimately ends up on your plate. Slow fish and slow food encompasses so many important aspects of our culture. By spending time talking with everyone today I hope to bring more of this awareness into designing your menus. I learned so much today and hope to continue to improve my practices and help educate my community through the love of food. Knowing your fisherman and knowing your farmer bring integrity to the plate.

Loved catching up with this incredibly talented and sweet lady so many fun stories during her residency. I loved getting to know all of the artists during my time as resident chef. Sharing meals really has a way of making people become so close in such a short amount of time.

Tossed this “Super Salad”today- full of flavor and nutrition!
Charred Lemon and Date vinaigrette; toasted hazelnuts, roasted butternut and sweet potato, spring onions, kale, and wild rice. Served with smoked harrisa and citrus chicken 💯☀️🌱💪
