*9 Tips for Finding your Wedding Florist*

Planning a wedding can feel like one big learning process. Lots of unknowns, decisions to be made, and never-ending vendor searches. So I put together some tips for those newly engaged to help you navigate your search for a wedding florist (but generally these can apply to other vendors too!)

1 - Do your homework: Evaluate a few different designers. There's no shortage of talent and each designer has a unique set of offerings. Ask for referrals from your venue, planner, and friends. Look at designers’ work and read their reviews. Know what’s important to you in the evaluation process, whether it be aesthetic, testimonials, or communication style. Feeling aligned with your designer will make the process of working together and the end result that much more rewarding.
2 - Run the numbers: On average, florals account for 10% of the overall wedding budget. Cost factors can include guest count, location, date, and size of bridal party. Be realistic and know what you’re comfortable spending, then tailor your search with numbers in mind.
3 - Determine your dislikes: This seems counterintuitive, but when you’re unsure of where to begin when explaining your vision, knowing what you DON’T like can be a great starting point. Ruling things out will bring you closer to figuring out what it is you DO like.
4 - Trust the process: Small details are sorted out later in the planning process. But by creating a team of vendors early in the process that you feel truly aligned with and giving them your full trust, you can rest assured your dream wedding will come to life.

K I have five more tips but this post is getting longggg, so head to my blogpost (link in bio) for more.

PS: I have a few open spots for 2021 and now booking into 2022. Let’s chat! My inquiry form is linked in my bio.

Today, on the front page of !

As I look back on the year, this is a project I’m proud of, but also frankly grateful for. Having the opportunity to collaborate with vendors to bring this vision to life gave me a little boost halfway through a bust season -- a chance to create, work with people I consider friends, and give my clients new inspiration.

Have a look at the feature (link in bio) to see what you can do with an intimate celebration.

We're featured on !! put together a guide for planning a modern and intimate wedding during these times, and I'm so excited to finally share this work with you.

For this editorial, and I wanted to go beyond the more traditional design concepts, and it was a goal of mine to create something entirely sustainable and foam-free. We have 12 tips for you that will show you a trimmed guest list does not have to mean sacrificed aesthetics -- read more at the link in my bio!

To have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented group of vendors I've always admired, during a time when we've had to reinvent so many live event concepts, was such a great boost to get us inspired all over again on behalf of our clients.

The funny thing about setting strict goals for yourself is this: life throws you curveballs that can have the power to completely derail them. But if you’ve already gone to the extent of putting your goals out there into the universe and done some groundwork, chances are, you might end up reaching those goals anyway. Or worst case, discover something even better. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
The past 7 months or so have been nothing short of wild. But in reflection, I'm proud of what I (and we all!) have overcome.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
So here's a look at just some of my 2020 goals, vs. what's REALLY happened so far.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
• Book 20 weddings • We allllll know what happened here. But the countless couples I've been able to work to make their changed plans extra special has been beyond rewarding. I am so inspired by your love and determination.⁣⁣⁣
• Build community • Leaning on my accountability group, working with new and repeat customers, and empathetic friendors have made for the best support system. If we can all make it through these times, the best is yet to come. ⁣⁣⁣
• Master the Bouquet • All thanks to some time with and unexpected opportunities to practice, I’m happy to report I no longer dread the bridal bouquet, hallelujah. ⁣⁣
• Write 20 blogposts • Instead of featuring 20 real weddings, I’ve had the opportunity to share knowledge and resources, thanks to some of the best of the best in this community and industry. Read more on my blog!⁣⁣⁣
• Source more of my product directly from local growers • Getting to work with and their beautiful product is helping me make my business more sustainable and environmentally conscious (with still so much work to do here). ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
May you too find your own silver linings, and simply do your best, because that is enough. 😘
