The video was later adopted and featured on a training DVD distributed to every Doubletree location worldwide. Other works by Evan Martin have been featured on major platforms such as ABC TV'S "Chronicle", MTV Europe, "Time a

nd Where" Magazine, Red Bull, The Learning Channel and Brookwood Global. It has been such a pleasure working with team at The Center for Victims of Torture and Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma to bring this course to life for the second year in a row!

This years program features two incredible presentations by Dr. Sanjiv Chopra, MD, MACP and Merna Ann Hecht and some amazing group discussions coordinated by some of the top worldwide leaders in Refugee Survival and Trauma.

I have learned so much working with these folks and greatly appreciate their service!

To be a great leader you must treat every person on your team just as you'd want to be treated. Every piece is important... And if it ain't true and honest it will show and they will fail you when your back is turned.

A few years ago I got to spend some time with the Sean Cox, guitar tech from the Foo Fighters the day after they played Fenway. He gave me these guitar pics that Dave used at the show. I was so thankful. At the time he had been working with them for 15 years and said he'd never work for anyone else. He talked about how Dave Grohl treats each and every member of the team from the performers to the bag carriers and bus drivers. He said they are a family from top to bottom and after every show Dave treats every single worker to an amazing dinner. He said they were all paid well.

I have learned so much in my life from so many people from so many different walks of life... no matter who they are, no matter what they look like, no matter what their role is or where they come from, they have embraced me, taught me, listened to me and have grown with me!

To the bosses who BS well, who deep down inside put themself on a higher human platform than others... you are only fooling yourselves... you have in many ways missed out on educating and improving yourselves. According to your bosses, your numbers, etc... You might show as good leaders... but you will never be great!

On this I celebrate my experience with the David Robinson!
David was a hero of mine growing up as I loved him for his play on the court (my first ever jersey #50 Robinson -Spurs, 2nd ever NBA jersey #5 Robinson - USA Basketball) but also his kindness, intelligence, service, family man... A true and born .

When I met him he was everything I imagined... The most loving, humble and gracious man. His son Justin took this picture.

I am a listener and a learner.

I always try to put myself in other peoples shoes and I never take anything for granted.

Health is everything. When you have that and the people you love and care about are healthy, sky's the limit!
P.S. Don't forget to take time out of your everyday to exercise! Even if it's only 10 minutes!!!

I am an individual. There is only one me. There is only one you. We all grow together.

Today was a very special day thanks to a great lunch with my Andover High School TV Production Teacher and Mentor, the great Joe Spanos!

Way behind the technical side of production, Joe taught me the importance of true emotion and communication in production… you will always get the most out of those in front of the camera when they feel comfortable with those who are behind the camera.
I learned so much from Joe and I am so
thankful to have him in my life.

Today is the final day of the 4 week Virtual Harvard Lancaster Course in Opthalmology. It’s my second year producing this program and I am blessed to be closing out another successful course. This course has been running since 1946! Thank you Dr. Young, Marji and for believing in me!

I am blessed to have met Bill Russell 3 times in my life. 1994, 2002 and 2018. The first time was as an 8th grader in the old Boston Garden on a legends night. The second, as a valet manager in college at UCF in Orlando (Bill and Dr. J walking over together to the Magic game.) And the third time (one of my fondest and most surreal moments in my life to date) as a Concierge, just he and I, for over 30 minutes, in his hotel room overlooking the Charles River. He asked me to come in and sit down with him as he went on to ask me questions about what we were seeing... he was looking to refresh his memory... he talked about his daughter Karen, who graduated from Harvard Law school and all of the buildings, moments and special memories he had from his experience in and around the Harvard area. He was so kind and loving. It was a dream come true for me! I am so thankful. Here's a photo of Bill and his daughter. RIP to the legend, Bill Russell. ❤️
