🎉 Big cheers (and a huge THANK YOU) for our Teen Volunteers! 🎉
Yesterday we welcomed 50 incredible teen volunteers at Montalvo during orientation, and the joy in the room was contagious. They’re stepping into summer camp mode with big smiles, helpful hearts, and the kind of energy that makes everything feel possible.
Our summer camps kick off next week, and because of these teen volunteers, young campers will have extra support to make art, explore nature, and be inspired.

Meet our Fort Making instructor: Andre Woodward🌿🏕️
This two-week day camp (June 15–26, ages 10–12) is about to get wild in the best way.
Andre is a Southern California artist who explores our complicated relationship with nature, from Ancient Bristlecones to Giant Sequoias to Coastal Redwoods 🌲. Campers will get to create right alongside Andre as they build a one-of-a-kind wattle fort together 🧵🪵
And the best part? Their incredible fort won’t just live at camp. It will be featured in Montalvo’s upcoming Marcus Exhibition, with a joyful showcase on Friday, June 26 🎉 and a special moment during the Thursday, June 25 VIP Opening Reception ✨

Get ready to get your hands messy (in the best way). Sculpting 101 at Montalvo is a 1-week summer day camp where young artists dream up and create one-of-a-kind sculptures using clay, found materials, and mixed media.
- Dates: July 13–16, 2026
- Ages:7–12
- $750 for one week camp
From whimsical figurines to playful keepsakes, every day brings a new project and a whole lot of creative joy. Plus, families and friends are invited to an informal showcase on Thursday, July 16 to see what campers made.
