Here is my daughter's 18th bday owl cake. it's tiramisu cake...yummm.....i want to give a shout out to lesley Royal Bakery! thank you for your sweet owl tutorial. we are so blessed to have such wonderful, creative artists in our cakey community. without you and the handful of others who take the time to share with us your knowledge and artistry, we wouldn't be able to enjoy our hobbies as much. i for one am so happy to have tutorials with pictures, tools and explanations that i can purchase. i was getting a little tired of buying a cookbook for the one recipe i wanted, and then a lot of the time, had to come up with my own creation of what it should look like because there weren't any pictures! thanks again lesley for allowing us to buy your tutorials! as well as sharing your knowledge....!

My second cake....yippeee! what fun it was to make a diva cake for my daughter erin's special friend, also named erin. i made the stiletto out of modeling chocolate and fondant, and the cake is purple velvet with chocolate filling. i still need a lot more practice on fondant and placing on the cake. even after putting gumpaste in the fondant, the box still buckled. hoping to find time later this week to post my real, camera vs. phone pics. thanks for looking!
