Let me just say, getting a chance to capture some updated photos for .time_ felt a bit like a dream work day. We had the best time dancing through the Americas Garden downtown before heading to .chs . ( Don't worry, I'm not keeping the outside photos to myself, just excited to share them in a separate post!) The goal for the session was so clear, Amy already had some great branding photos that looked awesome on their website, it was just time for a little update. Since we wanted these new photos to be able to live side by side with her current photos we chatted a bit about wearing colors that complimented what she already has, and I was so careful to make sure we didn't duplicate any poses she already has in her hard drive at home. The result? Photos that are full of her personality, showcase how awesome it is to work with Amy and give just a hint of how much fun we had together.

Did you know that I spent year photographing families in New York City? My time there taught me lots of wonderful things but the most useful? How to photograph in tiny spaces. You don't need a big, gorgeous, magazine perfect home to get in-home photos taken, all you need is one window. All of the magic we need can be created next to that one window. 😁

Life moves fast. Especially in this stage.

Between school drop offs, work, sports, and everything else… it all starts to blur together.

A family photography session is one of the few times you get to pause, be together, and actually see what this season looks like.

I photograph families across Charleston and surrounding beaches and my goal is always the same.

Last winter I had the awesome opportunity to photograph for the home decor issue of the Charleston Women's Magazine. We decided to capture her in her in-home design studio and it was the perfect location. It was so great to get to photograph Ruth and to see how gorgeous she looked in print!
