This week on Moviegoing is Awesome, we're celebrating the booming sound you get from being in a theater with a premium surround sound system! With in theaters right now, it's great to see a movie and hear sound so immersive that it's like you're in the driver's seat!

DID YOU KNOW? One of the earliest sound systems, Vitaphone, had the soundtrack for a film printed on a record disc, which then had to be synced up perfectly with the film projector. This would be fine until a record was scratched or it skipped, and then the entire film would be out-of-sync!
