I’ve had this peel and stick tile for about 4 months now and finally installed it. Had some growing pains with how to successfully cut the tile but I got the hang of it and loving the final look! 🤸

Hi guys!
Just wanted to reintroduce myself!
I’m Jill Martini with The Cottage Conservatory!

Thought I would share some fun stories about the cottage!

1. We almost didn’t close on the property because Sarasota got hit by a hurricane and most of Sarasota was flooded.☔️

2. Our daughter kindly referred to this house as ‘the ugly house’ when we first bought it. I’m teaching her to look past the surface and see the potential! She loves the cottage now! 🏠

3. We saved for 5 years straight before we had enough funds for a down payment on a property. No vacations. No extra spending. Just work & save on repeat. 💵

4. When we bought the house there was someone living it that had an annual lease. So we had to wait 6 months for their lease to be up before we could start renovating. ❌

5. Our tennant ended up breaking their lease early and trashing the property before they left. 🚮

6. The garbage men didn’t take our garbage for a month because they were mad at the previous tenants. I had to call the city 10 times to get things back on track! 🛻

7. The house was originally built in 1948 and I love that! ❤️

8. Lime Avenue is a mixed use zone….so it’s commercial and residential which makes for a vibrant street! 🌟

9. Main Street is a 2 minute drive! 🌆
Legacy Trail is 2 blocks away! 🚲
Lido Beach is a 15 minute drive! 🌊

10. The chickens don’t live at the cottage! They live at home with us but do make guest appearances at events sometimes! 🐓

This property is my passion! Every challenge is an opportunity to grow! I’m here almost everyday tweaking, planting, planning, envisioning and nurturing.
It’s a special little property that’s charming, comfortable, cozy and ideal for intimate gatherings!

We are working on packages this summer to make booking your event smooth and convenient!

Thank you for following along! 🌿
