People sometimes wonder why floral design costs what it does, and I want to be super clear: it is never because your florist is overcharging you!!! We pay a high-end price at the wholesale counter before we even touch a stem, then we have to add on our time and labor to create what is ordered.

​Take this one small pile of greens, filler, and supporting stems, for example. That is for a single order—and it just cost me $105 in wholesale product alone. And I still haven’t even purchased the focal flowers yet! (Just to put it in perspective, a single bunch of roses runs around $50 on its own.)

​Every stem is carefully calculated and hand-selected to stay within a budget, but wholesale costs add up remarkably fast. Independent florists aren't trying to break the bank; we're just working with expensive, high-end materials to create something beautiful for you.

I have dahlias for sale today at a roadside stand! Since Banta Blooms cart isnt open this weekend I am selling her dahlias over here!

All the vases are in travel boxes so you can easily grab and go! (The florist in me just couldn't send them without travel boxes! 😂)

Behind every great design is a mood board that starts it all. 🎨

​Being such a visual person, this is the process that I like to go through so I can see how everything looks together before diving into an event. This is just the starting point—it will definitely get tweaked and evolved as we get closer, but laying it out like this helps me put it all together to create the most stunning arrangements possible, ensuring I fully meet my client's needs.

Having this visual aid helps us all connect the dots so we're completely on the same page about where we're going with the florals for the event.
