The Greenhouse Story 🪴

Jon and I designed this greenhouse way before the wedding venue idea came to fruition. I just wanted a place that was pretty, just for me and to try to grow plants. We found lots of vintage windows, many came from Barnesville. One window had the name “Atkinson” written on the bottom of it. We only found it because Jon was cutting it down to fit. But talk about a time that I cried like a baby. You see, my grandpa’s name is Atkinson. It was just meant to be to find these windows and use them as my greenhouse. Those gorgeous doors were given to us. That old farmhouse we got them from had so many treasures. We will always be thankful to our sweet family members for thinking of us! We had a very limited budget and did our best to find great deals. The flooring was from a local auction. The table was built out of an old door and crib.
We have had so many beautiful pictures in here from weddings, Christmastime, picnics and just times when I was just reimagining that space. I have loved that greenhouse and enjoy seeing the space being utilized. The greenhouse will always be a treasure to me and I am so glad others get to enjoy it!

It's remarkable how the gardens appear differently each time I inspect them. I have some tall flowers that fell over, so I took cuttings and created a few arrangements for this weekend's events. 😊
