The Foothills showed up and we are so grateful. 🎉

Last Saturday we celebrated the grand opening of Freedom Fun Foothills in North Wilkesboro, NC -- our very first location in North Carolina -- and what a day it was. Foam parties, laser tag, bounce houses, archery, cotton candy, and families making memories together like we used to.

A huge congratulations to owner Jim Haynes, his wife JoAnn, and GM Matt Ellis for an incredible day. The Foothills community welcomed Freedom Fun with open arms and we could not be more proud.

It Started With a Little Boy and a Laser Tag Gun. Now It's North Carolina's Turn.

Every great story has a beginning. 🙏

Ours started on the banks of the San Gabriel River in Georgetown, Texas in 2013. A disabled veteran. An 8-year-old birthday boy. A set of laser tag equipment. And one moment that changed everything.

That little boy looked up and said: "Coach Tim, that was the best birthday party I've ever had."

Freedom Fun USA was born in that moment.

Today, more than a decade later, 20 locations, and 10 states later - that same vision has arrived in North Carolina for the very first time.

Meet Jim Haynes, U.S. Air Force veteran and owner of Freedom Fun Foothills, now serving Winston-Salem, Wilkesboro, Hickory, Statesville, and families across the NC Foothills and Piedmont Triad.

This is what we do. We pull families back together. We get kids off their phones, parents back in the game, and everyone in the same yard making memories like we used to.

What an awesome day we had celebrating these amazing families at the Down's Syndrome Association's 30th Annual Festival and 5K Run. It was an honor to provide them with a fantastic Foam Party, Axe Throw, Inflatables, Archery, etc. In the words of OKC Mayor, David Holt, "I've been to a few races here in town, but I've never been to one that started with a Foam Party!"

Hundreds of people gathered downtown Saturday as the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma hosted its 30th annual festival and 5K.
