Casey is a doll and he is as gentle as they come. A great big puppy dog. There is going to be a very lucky family at the end of this weekend.

I have not been doing a lot of photography this last year because I am studying to be an NTP. I have really missed it so much! I am really excited to graduate in September and start helping people get healthy through nutrition AND to start doing more photography again! I will be creating a page for healthy eating soon. Look out for it!

In the meantime, please enjoy this fine art image of Miss T***s. She is one of my favorite horses. I love her personality. She is very good at resting mare face, but she graced us by striking the most perfect pose. Thankyou Tooters.

Happy National Pickleball Day!

Did you know that Pickleball was invented out of boredom? Joel Pritchard and two of his friends, Barney McCallum and Bill Bell came up with the game and established the rules.

One day, in 1965, the friends came home from a game of golf to find their kids bored out of their minds. They challenged the children to devise their own game. They all ended up on the badminton court, experimenting with different balls and racquets and Pickleball was born!

Just a fun little fact. 😉

Coeur d'Alene and Spokane area horse and stock folks.

So, it's no secret that I haven't done as many sessions since my move to Northern Idaho. I've been busy focusing on health, being present and having fun! But oh my gosh, I LOVE THE PONIES and I crave photographing them any way that I can. My love is creating art, making connections with AMAZING people and kissing all the ponies that I can. Oh - and giving them all the treats! So driving almost 2 hours for this session was an absolute pleasure! Dude is the cutest pony in all the land and I wanted to stuff him in my car and bring him home.

I have said this 1 million times and it is still true today: I am so grateful to be able to do what I do. It brings me so much joy. ❤️

These two are a cute pair and I wish Melanie all the luck and success in embarking in her new career as a large animal vet.

Black background images are tricky and take some extra work, but soooooo satisfying.

Melanie and Dude were an absolute joy to photograph. Melanie is graduating from WSU's veterinary school. What an accomplishment! Dude is a total unicorn pony and I cant wait to photograph them again!

I have said this so many times, but photographing horses has been a great source of joy in my life. Someday, I will be able to have my own pony to love on and I cannot wait for that day.

Here is the CUTEST image from the session we had last night at WSU, Pullman, WA. This is Melanie and her darling boy Dude. The weather was inclement when we arrived and so we took full advantage of the nice muted light and did a some black background photographs of them. Dude was such a model citizen and I left daydreaming of having my own dappled buckskin pony. So if any of my friends out there want to gift me a pony just like this, PLEASE DO and I will love you forever!

I have said this many times, but I think it bears repeating. I LOVE meeting new friends and love love love photographing horses and their people. It brings me much much joy. xoxo
