One of the things I appreciate the most about living in the USA is getting to meet people from so many different cultures and photograph celebrations that are so unique from one another 🤍

I always love photographing Indian weddings and portrait sessions because everything feels so vibrant and full of life. The colors, fabrics, jewelry, traditions, emotions, and energy create such a beautiful atmosphere and make every moment feel rich with personality and joy.

Being able to photograph couples from different backgrounds and experience traditions from around the world is one of my favorite parts of this job 🌹

Thinking back to when I captured K + C’s beautiful engagement session, it is so surreal knowing the wedding day is finally here!

Your wedding day is about you.

Not about expectations, opinions, pressure, trends, or trying to fit into what everyone else thinks a bride “should” be.

Be bold.
Be soft.
Be sexy.
Be emotional.
Laugh loudly.
Cry if you want to.
Dance, breathe, take it all in.

Be the exact version of yourself you dreamed of being when you imagined this day growing up.

The most beautiful brides are never the ones trying to look perfect. They are the ones fully allowing themselves to feel every moment.

And trust me, that confidence shows in every single photograph.

3 tips to feel comfortable in front of the camera and actually feel like yourself:

1. Stop thinking about “posing perfectly”
Movement and emotion always photograph better than stiffness. Focus on the moment, not every angle.
2. Wear something that feels like YOU
Whether it is timeless, glamorous, simple, romantic, modern, sexy, or dramatic, your confidence changes everything when you genuinely feel beautiful in what you are wearing.
3. Let yourself be present

Madelynn and Aaron flew in from Texas to celebrate their wedding / elopement in Big Sur (Garrapata), surrounded by their favorite people and some of the most breathtaking views on the California coast. We started on the cliffs, with endless mountain views behind them and the rugged ocean below, creating a setting that felt wild, intimate, and completely unforgettable. As the light softened, we made our way down to the beach for their formal portraits, where the rocky shoreline and open horizon brought a calm, romantic energy to the evening. The hugs, the laughter, the speeches, the way your guests gather around you, all of that unfolds in that space. And the environment you create shapes how it feels and how it photographs.

Beautiful decor is not about making things look “fancy.” It is about creating an atmosphere. Soft candlelight, thoughtful tables, textures, florals, all of it adds depth and warmth to your images without you even realizing it.

When the space feels good, people relax. When people relax, the moments become more natural. And that is where the best photos come from.

I always tell my couples, you do not need to overdo it, but putting care into your reception design makes a difference you will see for years in your gallery.
