Big Sur doesn’t do anything halfway. 🌿🌊
There was a soft rain falling all morning, the kind that settles into the cliffs and turns everything misty and moody and absolutely ethereal. Because that’s the thing about this coastline. It doesn’t need perfect skies to be magic. It just is.
But then, of course! right as the bride could be spotted through the trees at the ceremony, the clouds began to part. The light came pouring through and the rain magically slowed to a stop. By golden hour, Big Sur was putting on a show like only she can. 🌅
This one was particularly special because I honored to have associate shot this beautiful day for my incredibly talented friend 🖤 and I got to finally bring my son Kaden along to assist me!

Fall Creek is one of my personal favorite places to hike so when Kellie and Peter said the wanted to do their engagement there and I were super stoked to capture some of its magic. The thing I love is no matter how many times you have gone here different seasons and years bring so many different things to see. This time around the river was flowing perfectly for playing around with some slow shutter. definitely inspired my playful side again and I’m so happy with how these turned out. Thank you three for helping me cross the river with my cameras like a crazy woman to play around some more!

First time heading back to Sutro Baths and Lands End in a hot minute and I am so, so glad Vivian and Grant suggested it for their engagement session. We had way too much fun chatting about beach volleyball and body injuries that we didn’t even notice how late it got till the mosquitos were coming for us! I met Rachel and Jack when Jack hired me to do their surprise proposal in Big Sur last year. We had their family involved wearing mustaches and hiding in the bushes, Rachel even walked right by her family because she had no idea they had flown out here to be at the surprise! When we finished I made sure to let the know how much I adored working with them and how honored I would be to photograph to the next step of there wedding story. Their planner reached out months after for their wedding in October at the Boston library so we had to plan a unique engagement session that tied in. I emailed Jack and we both had come up with the same suggestion— !!! Every once in awhile in my career I get the opportunity to photograph an old friend. and her family I have known since I was 15 years old! It was such an honor to get to be a part of her magical day to her high school friend for life turned husband Brandon. The weather was perfect,the staff and team at seriously go above and beyond to make the day flawless. Amber took my recommendations for vendors and we had the best team of logistics and creatives for the day. I am ever so grateful when clients’ trust my preferred vendors’ list because I vet everyone and make sure they are the more professional and most kind group to pull from. My dear friend and planner created such a no pressure and carefree day for Amber. did such brilliant florals with fruit and bold colors and stole the show!
