we are so psyched to have brewer-extraordinarev & tide swing resident Andrew Kokinakes in town for his first swing since moving up to Portland. if you’re like us, you have been missing this guy LOTS

Wyllie has been wanting to do a dub-focused party on the wharf since we caught Natural Orbit at groovewell vacation, so it seemed prudent to have him handle direct support-duties for our special guests. videos in the post are from when he played the late hours at our sacramento fam’s Call & Response diy renegade. Prob a bit heavier than he’ll be playing on the wharf, byt certainly still ~inna dub style~

Saturday on the wharf is coming. We know you’re coming, but why, might you ask?

Natural Orbit - equal parts Rami & DylΠ°ΥΈ Fіոсh - two of the west coast’s new generation of real dub music proprietors.

Wyllie, Daizz, and Rik (along with the rest of the extended squad) had the pleasure of camping next to this dynamic duo at GrooveWell vacation this summer, and we instantly hit it off. After some camp hangs, it turns out they’d go on to play our favorite set of the entire weekend in the after-hours lounge.

Dylan and Rami have emerged as a humble pillar of leftfield, dub-informed dance music in the Bay Area: both through their custom soundsystem (pictured slide 4) and accompanying party series, and through the records with which they come equipped.

It’s with great pleasure that we have convinced these two to grace the Monterey bay with a 3 hour set of songs they hold dear (inna dub styleeeeee)

after what seems like at least 2 years in the making, we are FINALLY getting two of our favorite LA selectors up for a proper 3 hour vinyl-only session on the wharf.

Miss Frizzle & vincenzo / mr palomar are true underground evangelists ~ and as you can see in these clips from their residency β€˜sure thing’ at now world/renowned kikuroom.sd , they truly know how to rock a dancefloor. If you’ve had the pleasure of catching them at any of their radio isaura gigs, or bought any imported 12’s they’ve schlepped over from Europe, you’ll attest that these two embody coastal club culture at its core.
