What we do matters, collectively, the service and attention to someone’s wellbeing and level of comfort is a testament to who you are as a person fundamentally. We care for people. In the good times, the bad times, the happy days and the celebrations, we stand vigil in the sad times and the times where we just need a little something to lean into. I am honored to be surrounded by like minded people, collectively we are a part of the change that will save us all. We are Human.

Last night was no exception in the kind of humans we are.

Dave and Claudia and Baby Gio slayed a birthday celebration for the nicest family. Welcomed us in their beautiful vacation home to share our BBQ love with them, it’s is the highest honor really. Small, intimate, laughter and gorgeous surroundings, all while being serenaded by the giggles and laughter of babies running everywhere 💜

Me and the Dream team less our Dave and Claudia worked tirelessly and created the food and libations to fill a Black Barn swaddled in the arms of w**e country, filled with gorgeous faces, beautiful smiles, and the excitement of watching their loved ones embark on their journey and celebrate as they walked out as husband and wife! AND what A PARTY it was!

Dancing, laughter, and a glimmer of what the future holds. We get to witness it first hand and in real time and it is really a breathtaking thing to behold.

I am nothing without the love, respect, and undying gratitude to this team of humans who surround me. Thank you for being who you are. There really are not enough words.

Beans BBQ and Catering began as the love child of my competitive spirit and evolved into so much more that I can even articulate, but right here, right now I am going to try. Here’s the real story, these people, and a whole lot of others not in this photo are the reason why. Nearly 16 years of blood, sweat, tears, passion, exhaustion, vision, laughter, hard times and amazing times and it’s all because of them. As a business owner who engages with the community in what from the outside looks like the most exciting celebratory, amazing day, believe me, sometimes behind the scenes it can honestly be super stressful, no matter how long you have been doing it. Nothing is copy paste except the loyalty of the team you have created. Loyalty, it’s the backbone of every single small business. Having a team of dedicated humans who want to participate and share in the successes of a small business is the single most valuable ingredient. Without them we are nothing. I have watch recently many small businesses like ours see challenges, the economy has taxed our business, our book of business is not as large as it was last year this time, some months are amazing and some are super tough but through it all, this team has always said yes, no worries, let’s kick some ass, let’s show em why we are the very best at what we do. Never, ever without fail has one of them said nope, can’t do it. As a business owner who depends on the community, this team is why they call, send emails, give shout out’s on social media, and why when their friends are having an event they tell them to call us! Because of them and an experience with this rad group of humans, they know what to expect. I am incredibly proud of that. I encourage all my small businesses owners to remember that you are not the lone raft adrift at sea in your business, your business was created with grit, tenacity, love, loyalty and the support of your community and your TEAM. No matter what you are going through, remember that they worked as hard as they could for you, to support your business and your dream, help you achieve more than you could have ever imagined. Thank your team. You didn’t do this alone. Thank you, all of you
